We reside in Ankeny, IA with our fur babies: Lucifur, Luna, LeRoy, and Loki, our friendly mice and rats, and our ever growing population of freshwater aquatic life. We have a passion for gardening, playing board games, and of course taking care of our little zoo!

Forrest started his first freshwater aquarium in 2015. He enjoys watching the graceful movements of fish, listening to the gentle sound of water, and enjoying the vibrant colors that create a peaceful oasis among the chaos of everyday life. 

 

Kaylee started enjoying the hobby after she met Forrest in 2019. One of her favorite aspects of owning a freshwater aquarium is the opportunity to learn. She has learned about different fish species, their behaviors, and specific care requirements. It's a hands-on experience that stimulates curiosity, empathy, and a love for the natural world.

A sense of achievement and community connections are two other reasons Forrest and Kaylee enjoy the hobby. Successfully maintaining a freshwater aquarium brings a sense of accomplishment. From establishing a healthy environment to witnessing your fish thrive and flourish, every milestone reached and challenge overcome boosts your confidence and pride.
